Citizens of Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau must apply for a Taiwan Entry Permit (入臺證), a de facto e-visa issued by Taiwan, to enter Taiwan. For Mainland Chinese citizens, they also need a Taiwan Travel Permit (往来台湾通行证) with a corresponding permission to leave Mainland China.
